Skyhawks open camp Aug. 23 (new)

The North Bay Skyhawks of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League begin their main training camp, by invitation only, Monday Aug. 23 at Memorial Gardens.

The club will hit the ice from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and camp continues Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 24-25, at the same times.

The club also announced their pre-season schedule:

In other club news, the 2004-2005 game program is being put together and kids are asked to write down their reasons as to why they enjoy coming to the games.

The letters, 'Quotes From Kids,', can be faxed to the club at 497-8579. Please include your name and age.

The best replies will appear in programs sold at the Gardens this season.
