Skyhawks fall in double overtime

Adam Chircoski scored his second overtime winning goal in the series as the Abitibi Eskimos pulled off a 5-4 double overtime victory over the The North Bay Skyhawks in Game 4 of the NOJHL East Division Final, evening the best of 7 series 2-2.

The overtime win comes after the Skyhawks rallied in the third period from a 4-3 deficit on a goal by Brett Venasse to send the game to overtime.

Marc-Andre Rizk led the Skyhawks scoring attack with a pair of goals. Justin Roy, who opened the scoring with the lone goal in the first period had the other Skyhawks goal.

Special teams were critical in this contest as the Eskimos scored three power play goals and a shorthanded marker in regulation time, while the Skyhawks scored once on the powerplay and once shorthanded.

The series shifts back to North Bay on Tuesday night as the Skyhawks, who have led the series 1-0 and 2-1, look to grab the critical lead in the series once again on home ice.
