The North Bay Skyhawks got goals from Danny Loach, Tyler Perry and Chase Gallacher en route to a 3-2 victory over the Manitoulin Wild in NOJHL action Sunday night.
Ken May and Eldon Cheechoo replied for the Wild.
Skyhawks Goaltender Mike Lalande stopped 24 of the 26 shots he faced on the night.
The win was a big one for the Hawks, who were trying to shake off the rust Sunday night. The Skyhawks hadn't played since November 21st.
The win moves the Skyhawks two points ahead of the second place Abitibi Eskimos in the Eastern Division.
Skyhawks next action is this Friday as they host the Eskimos at North Bay's Memorial Gardens.
