Skyhawks defeated in OT (new)

BLIND RIVER — The North Bay Skyhawks are getting used to close games in the NOJHL. For the fourth straight game, it was a one-goal difference and for the second straight time, the Skyhawks were on the losing end.
BLIND RIVER — The North Bay Skyhawks are getting used to close games in the NOJHL.

For the fourth straight game, it was a one-goal difference and for the second straight time, the Skyhawks were on the losing end.

However, they did pick up one point Sunday as the Blind River Beavers won 2-1 in overtime.

Matthew Buha scored at 1.39 of overtime to give the Beavers the win.

Thomas Laplante opened the scoring for the Beavers in the second period and Chris Pontes tied it up in the third period.

The Skyhawks are back in action Sunday, hosting Sudbury Northern Wolves at Memorial gardens. Game time is 7 p.m.
