Senior baseball finalists declared (new)

The North Bay Senior Baseball League championship series starts Sunday at Veterans Field, Bull & Quench and Carte Blanche Rotarians start a best of three series at 6:30 p.m. The second game goes Monday, also at Veterans, at 8:30 p.m.

Bull & Quench and Carte Blanche Rotarians start a best of three series at 6:30 p.m.
The second game goes Monday, also at Veterans, at 8:30 p.m. and if a third game is needed, it will be played, Veterans, Wednesday Sept. 1, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Bull & Quench defeated Astorville Lumberkings 22-5 Wednesday to sweep their semifinal series in two straight games.

Alex Park was the winner and Ken Pagan slammed two more home runs, giving him five in the series.

Pat Primeau and Scott Jackson also homered for the winners.

Luc Laforge and Steph Degagne had two hits each for the Lumberkings.

In the other series, Carte Blanche Rotarians trailed 7-3. but rallied to defeat Total Cleaning and Restoration 10-8.

Nick Gordon was the winning pitcher and Terry Seguin had three hits in four at bats and scored four runs.

Megan Marcella had two hits ion three trips to the plate, scored twice, and drove in three runs including the winning run in the sixth inning.

Gordon and Jason Birch also had two hits and Brian Guy hit a key two-run single in the fifth inning.

Matt Pigeau had three hits and three RBIs for TCR and Greg Cameron and Marcel Maisonneuve collected two hits each. Andrew Hopkins hit a home run.
