Astorville’s Tait Seguin ended his junior hockey career the best way possible.

He won a championship.

The 21-year-old forward captured the GOJHL Jr. B championship with the Caledonia Corvairs who swept the London Nationals in four straight to claim their third straight Sutherland Cup on Monday night.

Seguin joined the Corvairs after two seasons in the OHL with the London Knights.

“It was a pretty emotional night for me to end my last year with such an incredible playoff run and with such a great group of guys. It's something that will always be special to me forever and I couldn't picture a better way to go out,” Seguin told BayToday.ca

The power forward was named the Corvairs captain and had eight goals and 19 assists for 27 points in 45 games with the GOJHL powerhouse squad which finished with a near perfect 43-4-1-2 regular season.

Seguin then contributed six goals and nine assists as the Corvairs went unbeaten in the playoffs with a 20-0 record.

Seguin, who captured an NOJHL title with the Jr. Trappers in 2013, is still unsure what he will do next season or if he will play hockey at all.

“I plan to use my education package from the OHL and whether or not I play for CIS program is still to be decided,” said Seguin.
