Local archer Fiona Maude broke the Canadian National Field Archery record at an event held at Peterborough Archers in Peterborough, Ontario over the weekend.

The North Bay native has held the title of Canadian Field Champion for the past 2 years, and incidentally, the record she broke last Sunday was her own – set at the 2016 Canadian National Field Archery Championship.

Next up for the 19-year-old Chippewa Secondary School graduate are Senior World Target Trials and the Canadian National Target and Field Championships, which will be all held over the first week of August in Montreal.

After that, Fiona will be back to training hard for the World Youth Archery Championship in Rosario, Argentina this October.

Maude and her family have set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for the trip.  For information go to here website at: fionamaudearchery.com
