Several North Bay Titans swim team members achieved qualifying times at the NEOR #3 Developmental Meet on the weekend (Jan 20/21) at the 22 Wing CFB North Bay Fitness and Wellness Centre.
The annual Paula Palangio Memorial meet saw nearly 40 Titans take part.
Ashlyn Auger, Owen Baas, Josh Gough, Chloe Popp, Emma Ringuette, Ryan Spencer and Katelyn Warner added to their Dave Kensit Regional Championship qualifying times.
Marlee Parker achieved her first qualifying time for the upcoming championship event in Sault Ste Marie (Feb 2-4).
Annabelle Jackson achieved a 10 & Under Ontario Festival qualifying time for her 200m IM (Individual Medley) while Julia Rivet achieved an 11-year-old Ontario Festival qualifying time for her 100m Fly.
Baas led the way with four first-place finishes this past weekend.
Jackson and Rivet, along with Leah Dawson each won three events.
Robby Baas, Cooper Jackson, Brody Marietti and Drew Stephenson had two first-place finishes.
Popp and Spencer along with Gabriel Cadieux, Carleigh Roy, Jennifer Tripp, Abigail Truong and Ethan Yates all won one of their events.
Top three finishes were also achieved by Auger, Parker, Ringuette and Warner along with Andrew Fuzy, Allen Huang, Dekota Jones, Madison Piper, Riley Roy, Kaleb Staley and Fionna Truong.
Also adding personal best times were Brooklynn Bayliss, Ava Bertrand, Sophie Bertrand, Sarah Cadieux, Indiana Coffin, Alexis Dibben, Charlotte Dibben, Aurora Doughty, Izabelle Lizotte, Freya McLaren, Nikita Ouellette and Stella Roy.
Next up, two dozen Titans will be taking part in the Dave Kensit Regional Championship in Sault Ste. Marie.
