The Memorial Gardens will be host to the Provincial Women's Hockey League (PWHL) this weekend, where the Etobicoke Jr. Dolphins and Barrie Jr. Sharks will face off in back-to-back Regular Season games.

The PWHL is a Junior women's hockey league in Ontario that was founded in 2004. It is considered to be the highest level of junior women's amateur hockey in North America, and is sanctioned by both the OWHA and Hockey Canada. The PWHL provides alumni to the CIS, NCAA, as well as the Canada Women's National Hockey team.

Both teams feature several former members of the North Bay Ice Boltz Association, and is a homecoming for these players.
