The Gateway to the North might as well be renamed the Curling Capital of the World as hot off the heels of breaking an attendance record for any World Women’s Curling Championship held in Canada, tickets for the upcoming Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling Masters are flying off the shelf.

As of the last update, Battalion Headquarters reported more than 27,000 tickets sold for the October 22nd – 27th event, which features the top 15 men’s and women’s teams in the world and includes a dozen rinks from outside of Canada.

Head to head matchups feature a star-studded field of teams including both defending Masters champions (Epping and Hasselborg), both defending Pinty’s Cup champions (Homan and Koe), both reigning Olympic gold medalists (Hasselborg and Shuster), the legendary Team Glenn Howard, as well as Northern Ontario’s Brad Jacobs and Tracy Fleury playing regional favourites amongst the world’s most elite.

This major international tournament kicks off Tuesday night (October 22nd) with a special opening-game rate of approximately $10/ticket.

Watch Jennifer Jones vs. Theresa Cannon, Rachel Homan vs. Satsuki Yoshimura, Brad Gushue vs. Matt Dunstone, Silvana Tirinzoni vs. Kelsey Rocque, and the featured match-up between Mike McEwen and Brendan Bottcher – the 2019 Brier finalist who enters the event chasing his fourth consecutive Grand Slam title.
