The Nipissing Lakers women’s hockey remained perfect early in the OUA season thanks to a convincing victory over the Windsor Lancers Friday morning at Memorial Gardens.

The Lakers, thanks to a pair of goals by both Malory Dominico and Teagan Feltz, improved to 4-0-0 after a 4-1 win over the visiting Lancers.

After a scoreless first period, the Lakers scored twice in the second and twice in the third to pick up the win.

Dominico buried her first two early in the second period to give the Lakers the lead. The tally came unassisted and was her second of the year.

Feltz made it 2-0 Lakers with a goal less than three minutes later.

Malory’s sister Maria Dominco picked up the lone assist on Nipissing’s second goal, which turned out to be the game-winner.

Windsor would reply late in the frame, cutting the Lakers lead in half.

The Lancers only goal of the game came with 2:01 left in the period.

Nipissing would seal the victory in the third period as Dominico and Feltz would each strike again.
