The Nipissing University women's soccer program is proud to announce the commitment of Stephanie Muldoon, of Oakville, Ont.

Muldoon, the program's highly ranked recruit, accepted Nipissing's offer to the Orientation to Teaching program. Her presence in the midfield will help bolster the line-up.

"Stephanie is a wonderful team player and a great addition to our program", said Head Coach Vito Castiglione, who is excited to have Muldoon added to the roster pool. "As a midfielder, she has the ability to read the play and distribute the ball to the strikers. Stephanie will be a solid player at the OUA level. We are excited and looking forward to having her in a Lakers uniform."

The Oakville native is looking forward to attending Nipissing in the fall. Muldoon chose Nipissing because "it has a really good teachers program (OTT) and my friends said it was a good school with a great faculty of education program." The soccer program's recruiting efforts played a part in her desision. "I was able to get in contact with the soccer coach and he invited me on a tour, where I was able to get a feel for the school and his coaching staff. I think with his help and encouragement, made the choice of coming to Nipissing much easier."

With a solid nucleus of returning players, the recruiting pool will help strengthen those positions where experience is lacking. The addition of Stephanie Muldoon brings immediate credibility to the midfield.
