The West Ferris Greco’s Novice AA Trappers captured gold on the weekend at the Timmins Ice Breaker tournament.
The Trappers went unbeaten in six games including a 7-6 win over Feldman Timmins, a 9-2 victory over Kapuskasing, a 12-2 thrashing over Nickel City, a 5-0 win over the Techno Sub Timmins and a 3-0 conquest over Timmins Boston Pizza.
The Trappers then faced the Techno Sub Timmins squad in the Novice final and came out on top with a 4-2 win.
Players include: Braden Russell, Briir Long, Patrick Young, Noah Dugas, Cameron Popp, Cole Meunier, Graden Robertson-Palmer, Hudson Prisco-Duquette, Hunter Goulas, Jackson Curran, Khade Metatawabin, Mike Dech, Nick Corbeil, Porter Taillefer, Jacob Jutras, Preston Seguin Hutchinson.
The Trappers coaches include Marc Long, Dan Young, Dave Dugas and Scott Curran.
