Northeast Region Archer’s bring home Summer Games medals

The Northeast region archers competed in the compound bow category and had athletes in both the U20 (Junior) and the U17 (Cadet) divisions

The Northeast region team, grabbed several top 3 finishes and many personal best scores were recorded at the Ontario Summer Games in London Ontario, this past weekend.

The competition was a 2-day event with a double 720 held on Saturday, along with a round robin competition on Sunday. 

The Northeast region archers competed in the compound bow category and had athletes in both the U20 (Junior) and the U17 (Cadet) divisions.  

The team members included: Tessa Brooks, Devynn Hawes, Anna Walton, Kendra Chirico, Graham Walton, Kruz Claro, Kieran Hawes, Brody Corbeil, Jacob Bondy, Sheldon Bonell, Sophie Lamoureux (coach) and Gord Shields (coach).

Kendra Chirico (Junior) Compound bow     -   Silver

Jacob Bondy (Junior) Compound bow - Gold

Sheldon Bonell (Junior) Compound bow – Silver

Round Robin (Day 2) – Certificate winners

Kruz Claro (Cadet) Compound bow Flight B – 1st place

Kieran Hawes (Cadet) Compound bow Flight B – 3rd place

Sheldon Bonell (Junior) Compound bow Flight A – 1st place

Jacob Bondy (Junior) Compound bow Flight A – 2nd place
