OSWEGO, N.Y. - Oswego State junior forward Melissa Seamont has been named to the 2012-13 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's West Ice Hockey All-Conference Second Team.
The North Bay native joins former goalie Emi Williams as the only Laker women's ice hockey players to be named Second Team All-ECAC West.
Seamont paced Oswego State with 19 points on seven goals, including two power-play goals, and 12 assists in 15 conference contests, while finishing the league tied for second in assists and ranked fourth at 1.27 points per game. She also posted both game-winning goals in the series sweep over Buffalo State.
Overall, she led the Laker offense with nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points. She currently ranks second all-time in assists (29), fourth in points (46) and fifth in goals (17) in 76 career games.
The Lakers finished the season at 12-12-1 overall and a program-best league mark of 10-6-0.
Seamont, a childhood education major, is the daughter of Luc and Linda Seamont and a former member of the Sudbury Wolves Midget AA team and the North Bay Ice Boltz Intermediate A team.
