Frigid temperatures this weekend didn’t stop North Bay ski racers from reaching the podium at the 4th annual Home Hardware Classic held at Antoine Mountain.

Colin Dreany placed first in U14 men’s slalom and third in U14 giant slalom and Mikayla Cornthwaite placed second in U16 women’s slalom and first in U16 giant slalom.

Great performances were also put in by Tahlia Cornthwaite, Cheyenne Boissonneault, Alex Park, and Harley Townson.

Hosted by the North Bay Ski Racing Club and Antoine Mountain, this first race of the season saw 50 athletes participating from Sudbury, Elliot Lake, Timmins and Sault St. Marie in the U14 and U16 divisions.

Thank you also goes out title sponsor Craig Gagne of Gagne’s Home Hardware in Rutherglen for his continued support of this race.
