The North Bay North Stars will host the Ottawa Valley Ambassadors for two friendly but spirited games.

“This is only the third time the team has hosted an out of town group,” said manager Sharon Fung.

“Most Special hockey teams are clustered around the GTA so prefer to play their games in the area. We have been getting together with the Ottawa team each year while alternating locations.

"It is a rare opportunity to play with peers and it is always a lot of fun and good competition too."

The teams are divided by skill and not by age as in most leagues so we have all ages on the ice. It is also a chance for developing friendships and camaraderie between the groups.

"The North Stars are very excited when they get to play other SHI teams and especially in front of family, friends and supporters so it would be great to have a good crowd to cheer them on," added Fung.

Come on out on Sunday and see what special hockey is all about. A team game is from 2-3 p.m. and B team game is from 3-4 pm.
