The North Bay/West Ferris Bantam Major AA Trappers captured the Niagara Falls Presidents Day Tournament this past weekend in Buffalo, New York.

The team went a perfect 4-0 during the tournament.

The Trapper defence was exceptionally stingy this past weekend allowing only one goal against.

Trappers coach Neil Ethier was extremely pleased with the team`s performance.

“The boys were very responsible defensively,” said Ethier.

“We forced a lot of turnovers and we were able to capitalize on our chances in the offensive zone. Our team is really coming together at the right time of the season!”

The Trappers begin the opening round of the Nickel District Minor Hockey League playoffs this coming weekend against the Sudbury Major Bantam AA Wolves.

The team will complete its season during the weekend of March 10th to 12th in Timmins, where they will compete in the NOHA`s Tournament of Champions.

Team members include: Blake Barber (AP), Owen Bethune, Johnny Bourque, Cameron Burkholder (G), Hunter Edmunds, Ethan Ethier, Zachary Evans, Tristan Faubert (G), Dario Furletti, Ryan Gillies, Jonah Horsman, Logan Lavoie, Cedric Lefebvre, Patrick Maille, Stephane Philion, Joshua Price and Brandon Wojick .
