North Bay Antoine Ski Racers Represent the city in Timmins and Collingwood

The North Bay Antoine Ski Racers have come off a busy week as they participated in the U14 OCUP Midwinters in Collingwood and at the U6-U18 Boreal ski race in Timmins.

Coached by Jenna Godbout, her team of U14’s represented Northern Ontario and came away with impressive results.  Mikayla Cornthwaite placed 22nd out of 102 racers in SG and 24th out of 106 racers in the GS events at Osler Bluff. Cheyenne Boissonneault held her own against a strong field of competitors.

On the men’s side, Colin Dreany placed 45th out of 102 in the SG and 55 out of 114 in the GS at Osler Bluff.

Not to be outdone Coach Duncan Cornthwaite brought his U8-U12 team to the Boreal race in Timmins for 2 days of completion. They competing against teams from Ontario and Quebec in Slalom, GS and a Kombi race which combines GS and Slalom.

On Saturday Tahlia Cornthwaite U12 places 3rd in Slalom with Amber Auger placing 13th.  Lauren Moore U10 placed 4th in the Slalom race while her sister Leighton Moore U8 placed 8th.

On Sunday Amberly Auger U12 placed 13h in GS. Lauren Moore U10 placed 11th and her sister Leighton Moore U8 placed 7th Kombi race.
