Newton takes 100 metre title at Nipissing Track meet

West Ferris sprinter Adam Newton ran a 10.7 to capture the 100 metre title at the Nipissing Invitational Track Meet at Cundari field Saturday afternoon. It was Newton's slowest time this season, running a 10.48 and a 10.37 at two earlier track meets.

It was Newton's slowest time this season, running a 10.48 and a 10.37 at two earlier track meets. Still, the impressive run ties his record setting time from last year.

Close to 700 athletes from across Northern Ontario took part in the North Bay meet.
