It was no contest as the Ecole Secondaire Catholique Algonquin Barons defeated the Widdifield Wildcats 49-9 in NDA senior girls basketball playoffs.

The Barons lead the best of three semifinal 1-0.

Kritisne Zwolak, again, led the Barons, offensively and defensively. She finished with 22 points and forced eight turnovers.

"Team defence was big for us," said Barons head coach Tim Lowe. "It's been that way all season long. We were prepared and all of the girls worked hard. It paid off."

Defensively Tanya Simard had 14 points and still played her usual strong defensive game.

"We moved the ball well and hit the open jumper," Lowe said.

Kaloi Gawinski had six points for the Wildcats.
