The West Ferris Trojans secured 1st place in NDA Hockey with a 5-4 overtime win on Saturday against the Chippewa Raiders.

The Raiders led most of the game forcing the Trojans to tie
it up late in the third as Byron Berger put the Raiders ahead with just 3 minutes left.

However, Caleb Fricker tied it up to force overtime in the final moments of regulation time.

Dan Weber scored the winner when he recovered a rebound off the Raider netminder early in overtime.

The Raiders and Bears will now meet in the 1/4 finals this Wednesday 7:10 pm in the best 2 of 3 series. The winner will meet West Ferris in the semis Wednesday, Feb. 23rd 8:40 pm at Memorial Gardens while Wilddifield will take on the Algonquin Barons in the other semi-final, Monday, Feb. 21st 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens. Both series are best 2 of 3. The finals are scheduled to start Tuesday, March 1st unless both semi-final series go 2 straight. If that happens the finals will start Sat. Feb. 26th.
