The Franco-Cité Patriotes senior girls volleyball team won it's second NDA title in as many years following a 2-0 series win over the St. Joseph Scollard-Hall Bears on Wednesday night in North Bay.
The Patriotes will look to defend it's NOSSA title in Sturgeon Falls next week.
Team members include: Gabriel Paquette (coach), Sadora Legagneur, Zoé Gagné, Alexie Lanteigne, Cloé Mondoux, Maurissa Ducharme, Tanya Lavigne (coach), Emily Heil, Alyssa Lafantaisie, Isabelle Rivest, Sophie Tremblay and Danyka Raymond.
Meantime, in NDA junior girls volleyball action the Widdifield Wildcats captured the title defeating the Algonquin Barons in two straight.
NDA Jr Boys Basketball playoffs - Pats take game one
The Franco-Cité Patriotes junior boys basketball team is one win away from it's first ever boys basketball title after an 83-37 win over the St. Joseph Scollard-Hall Bears on Thursday night in Sturgeon Falls.
Blake Horner had 15 points for the Patriotes while Philip Fortin added 12. Caleb Cain-Plante added 9. John-Henry Merkley had 12 and Trey Anthony added 9 for the Bears in a losing cause.
Game two will be played on Tuesday at St. Joseph Scollard-Hall. Game time will be announced soon.
