Taylor Murphy scored the game winner in overtime as the Nipissing Lakers Varsity Women's hockey team knocked off the Toronto Varsity Blues 3-2 on Friday night in Toronto.
The Lakers fought back from a 2-0 third period deficit to tie the game and force the extra session.
Carly Marchment and Kaley Tienhaara provided the heriocs in the third period to even the score at 2-2.
Jackie Rochefort got the win courtesy of a 34 save performance.
The win moves the Lakers within two points of the Blues who sit fifth in the OUA standings.
The Lakers are back in action tonight against the Ryerson Rams.
