Minor Midget AAA Trappers compete in London

The North Bay minor midget AAA Trappers attended the Wendy Dufton Memorial tournament this past weekend in London.

The Trappers opened up in the wrong end of a 4-3 decision vs Detroit Belle Tire. Chase Thompson scored all three for the Trappers with assists going to Creo Solomon, Callum Craft, Chase Lefebvre and Ben Harris. Caelan McAuliffe was between the pipes.

In their second game, the Trappers played a complete game and were rewarded with a 4-1 victory over the Richmond Hill Coyotes. Solomon, Lefebvre, Todd Violette and Lucien Landriault. Assists were registered by Brett Richardson and Harris. Caleb Sanders picked up the win in net.

The Trappers then played the host London Knights and came away on the wrong end of a 3-0 score. Caelan McAuliffe has a solid game in net despite the setback. In their final game the Trappers tied the North York Rangers 1-1. Will Perreault had the goal with assists to Solomon and Richardson. Sanders had another solid performance between the pipes.

The minor midgets return to GNML play this week with games in Sudbury on Wednesday night vs the Sudbury minor midget Wolves and then host the New Liskeard Cubs Sunday afternoon in Temiscaming, QC at 2:30 p.m.
