The win improves the Trappers record to 5-9-0–1 to move them into 6th spot in the Great North Midget League.

“We came out flying today, everybody was fired up & it was like everyone had something to prove," said Trappers head coach Mike Reise.

"It was a pretty balance attach today, from the net out."

Jake Shannon held the fort stopping 33 of 35 shots for the win.

Steven Leveque led the way with 2 goals, with Tyler Peters & Jake Staples added 1 goal & 2 assists each.

Nathan McLeod, Aaron Dart and Cole Filiatrault rounded out the scoring for the visiting Trappers.

The Trappers played with a short bench for the 3rd game in a row, due to injuries and affiliation issues.

"We had Aaron Dart & Eric Champagne playing defense for most of the game today & they came up huge for us," added Reise.

"Things were working today and we were doing the little things right, it was a great team effort."

The Trappers are off until Sunday, December 2nd when they host Kirkland Lake Legion 87’s. Game time is 1:30 @ West Ferris arena.

The Midget Trappers will also be accepting non-perishable food items for this game to help promote Tom Hedican's Coach4Food campaign.
