The North Bay Midget AAA Trappers continue to prove they can play with the best in the Great North Midget League.

On Saturday night they gave the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves all they could handle but the first place Wolves came out on top with a 4-2 win.

The Trappers played a solid 1st period, keeping the Wolves at bay as they took a 1-0 lead into the locker room after the first period courtesy of a goal off a rebound by Aaron Dart.

In the second period the Wolves offence got going as Jeff Delange and Andrew Dodge scored goals 7 minutes apart in the second period to give the Wolves a 2-1 lead after 40 minutes of play.

The Wolves added 2 more goals in the final period and Tyler Peters registered his 32nd goal of the season to get the Trappers closer.

The loss drops the Trappers record to 9-11-0-0-1.

The Trappers finish off their busy week with a visit by the Nickel City Sons Sunday afternoon. Game time is 1:20 p.m. at West Ferris arena.
