Midget AA Ice Boltz win opening playoff series

The North Bay AA Midget Ice Boltz swept their opening round Lower Lakes Female Hockey League quarter-final series over the Aurora Panthers over the weekend.
The North Bay AA Midget Ice Boltz swept their opening round Lower Lakes Female Hockey League quarter-final series over the Aurora Panthers over the weekend.

The Ice Boltz got through by defeating the Panthers 2-1 in game 1 courtesy of goals by Taylor McManus and Taylor Murphy as they dominated the shots outshooting their opponents 38-11.

In game 2, Kaitlyn McManus, Corie Jacobson and Taylor Murphy scored in a 3-0 shutout victory for the Ice Boltz.

Sabrina Picard got the shutout for the Ice Boltz in the series clincher.

The series victory moves the Ice Boltz on to the the Lower Lakers Female Hockey League Central-East Division semi-finals where they will face the winner of the Toronto Aeros/Barrie Sharks series.
