Midget AA Ice Boltz start season at home this weekend

The Alamos Gold midget AA Ice Boltz LLFHL season opens up at home this coming Saturday against the visiting Aurora Panthers at 2 p.m. at Memorial Gardens.

The Ice Boltz come into the season with high expectations as they look to improve on their top-eight performance at provincials last season.

With 14 players returning and a few key additions the Ice Boltz are looking to make some noise in the Midget AA Division.

Returning forwards include Alex Murmilo, Jayden Denomme, Catherine Heroux, Eryn Wolfe, Lanie Guimond, Madison Desmarais, Michaela Pressault.

Returning on the back end are Mack McMahon, Alexie Villeneuve, Ashley Robitaille, Emily Gravelle, Tianna Maisonneueve.

In goal, will be returning goaltender Charley Wing.

Newcomers include forward and former Barrie Sharks junior Malory Dominico, along with Kirkland Lake product Hunter Allen.

Danika Gravelle joins the D from the Ice Boltz Midget BB program last season. They also have Macy Piche, who is an affiliate player from Kapuskasing.

The Ice Boltz will play 11 home games this season and the schedule can be found on the NBDGHA website or the LLFHL website under Midget AA.

There is no cost to all home games,Come out and support and watch some of the top female hockey players in our area.

Ice Boltz Notes:

  • Madison Desmarais and Malory Dominico recently returned from U18 camp held over the thanksgiving weekend.The two Ice Boltz were part of a group of top 40 female players trying to make team Ontario.
  • Jayden Denomme returned to light skating as she is coming off a broken ankle she sustained in a hockey tournament in July.
