Nathaniel McLeod scored 3 times to lead the North Bay Midget AAA Trappers to a 6-1 win over the New Liskeard Cubs in Great North Midget League action on Friday night in New Liskeard.

Eric Champagne, Cole Filiatrault and Tyler Peters had the other goals for the Trappers.

The victory was the Trappers third straight as they improve to 7-9-0-0-1.

Trappers head coach Mike Reise felt discipline was the key on this night.

"Our guys did a great job keeping away from the scrums after the whistle," admitted Reise.

"We are also starting to see a lot of great character players stepping up to make this a well-rounded team. This was a great team victory and it's something we have to take with us when we go up against Sudbury Saturday night.

The Trappers next home game is Saturday, December 8th when they host the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves. Game time is 7:20 p.m. at West Ferris arena.

Coach4Food Donations

The Trappers are also accepting food donation for the Tom Hedican's Coach4Food program at all our home games for the month of December.
