“The boys executed and refined their game to near perfection and we just gained confidence as a team as the games went on. We could not be more proud of all of them and how they overcame fatigue and injuries in order to sacrifice for the player next to them. Everyone on this team played a key role in this championship and how they came together was the real victory in it all.”
The Trappers were able to bounce back from a pair of ties with a key 4-1 victory over the Mississauga Reps.
They rolled along beating Hawkesbury Hawks 2-1 and then dumped the Rockland Nationals 2-0. Battalion prospect Reece Proulx had the shutout for the Trappers.
