The North Bay Minor Midget AAA Trappers are well represented as part of the 38 northern players selected to play as part of two Team NOHA’s at the upcoming Eastern AAA Showcase which will take place December 2 to 3, 2017 at the Aurora Community Centre in Aurora.

Locals chosen include goalie Reece Proulx, along with defencemen Benjamin Brunette, Pacey Schleuting, Tanner Flood, Cole Goode, and forwards David Campbell, Joe Jordan, Jack Stockfish, Jesse Kirkby, Nathaniel Lalonde, Cameron Pariseau, Erik Lafontaine, Sabastian Sutherland, Ben Brunette, Cam Pariseau and Nat Lalonde.

Callander’s Ethan Masson, who plays for the Sudbury Minor Midget AAA Wolves, was also selected.

The players will be separated into two equal rosters (Team NOHA Red and Team NOHA White) and will each play in three games, including the Team NOHA Red vs. Team NOHA White intrasquad game.

The players were selected based on game evaluations from the Under-15 Camp in August.

Players were also selected based on evaluations with their club team by Team NOHA Director of Operations, Matt Rabideau and Team NOHA Head Coach, Richard Rochefort throughout the early parts of the season.

Team NOHA will compete at three events throughout the season. The OMHA ETA Showcase in December, the OHL Cup in March, and the OHL Gold Cup in May, which is the first step in Hockey Canada’s Program of Excellence, the Program that concludes with the World Junior Hockey Championship.
