Locals solid at Day one of NOSSA Track and Field

It was a solid first day of competition for a handful of local athletes at the NOSSA Track and Field meet which began on Wednesday at Laurentian University.

It was a solid first day of competition for a handful of local athletes at the NOSSA Track and Field meet which began on Wednesday at Laurentian University. 

Widdifields’ Caleigh Porter led the way for the North Bay area contingent as she was first in the Senior Girls high jump.  

Classmates Janae Hardware finished first in the midget girls 400 M, while Local Frederick placed first in the midget boys shot put. Keon Wallingford finished second in the Senior Boys Steeplechase and Ethan Scott was second in midget boys 1500 M. 

Skyla Mercer of Chippewa finished third in the senior girls Javelin.    

West Ferris’ Aaron Walker placed second in the junior boys 1500 M, while classmate Chloe Stewart placed third in the Junior Girls Discus.
