Local Youth Bowlers off to Provincials

The bowlers from North Bay competed in six possible singles categories

A total of 21 local Youth Bowlers from Partners Bowling competed in the 2nd step of the YBC Nationals Championship tournament Singles Division at Partners Bowling, North Bay on Sunday, December 15, 2019.

This is a major tournament in the YBC which goes through four steps leading up to the Canadian YBC National Championships.

The four steps are House Round, Zone Finals, Provincial Finals and finally Nationals.

The bowlers from North Bay competed in six possible singles categories.

Capturing gold medals were Kyrsten Tremblay in the Senior Girls division and Jake McKenny in the Senior Boys division.  

Capturing silver medals were Austin Sands in the Junior Boys division, previous YBC Nationals silver medalist Sadie Tremblay in the Junior Girls division and previous YBC Nationals participant Noah Starcevic in the Senior Boys division.

Capturing bronze medals were Alex Leblond in the Bantam Boys division and previous YBC Nationals Champion Connor Lafleur in the Junior Boys division.

Kyrsten and Jake will represent the Gateway zone at the Provincials being held in Sudbury, Ontario on March 8, 2020.  They will be joined by other Gateway zone winners:  Bantam Girls – Kayleigh Pott-Pellerin from Haileybury, Bantam Boys – Declan East from Haileybury, Junior Girls – Riley Rose from St.Charles and Junior Boys – Logan Clark from Parry Sound.
