Six youth bowlers ages 8 to 10 representing Partners Bowling in North Bay captured one gold medal and one silver medal at the YBC National Championships Singles Provincial round for the Bantam division on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Chico’s Bowl in Hanmer, Ontario.
It was a new format this year in which bowlers participated directly at a Provincial level for the chance to earn a spot at Nationals.
Capturing a gold medal in the Bantam Boys Singles division was Brady Philbert.
Capturing a silver medal in the Bantam Boys Singles division was Easton Doxsee.
Brady will represent Northern Ontario at the YBC Nationals Championship in the Ottawa region on May 5-7, 2024.
He will be joined by Katelynn Brownlee from Tri-Town Lanes in Haileybury who will represent the Bantam Girls Singles division at Nationals.
