The Nipissing District Adult Soccer Club is pleased to announce that on February 5, 2020, the members of the North Bay Selects Soccer Club and the Armstrong Park Soccer Club officially accepted the merger into the Nipissing District Adult Soccer Club.

The merger was approved by Ontario Soccer (OS) and will operate under the name: Nipissing District Soccer Club (NDSC) effective immediately.

The Club will include adult men’s and women’s teams along with competitive youth age groups.

All competitive NDSC teams will continue to be associated with the “Lakers” name in continuation of our community partnership with Nipissing University.

"This opportunity will enhance the development of our players and provide them an opportunity to play at a higher level," the Club stated in a release.

"We are very excited for the 2020 season and the future of soccer in the North Bay area.

"Thanks to our many volunteers and the communities that support this sport, soccer has been a wonderful experience for many. We expect that there will be synergies realized as a result of this merger, thus fostering the development of soccer in our community."

The newly amalgamated club is currently recruiting teams, coaches and volunteers for all the competitive teams, divisions, and club duties.

"Special thanks to Mark Hopper, Les Wilkinson, Siggi Sieppman, and Giuiliano Celebre, who were all instrumental to the success of this endeavour," the release continued.
