The Blues scored two goals and erased a 1-0 deficit to claim the 2-1 victory and close the gap on the top of the OUA standings.
Guelph and Nipissing continue to lead the way, but the race is getting tighter after Saturday’s results.
Bronwyn Bolduc gave the Lakers the lead, scoring her team-leading 11th early in the game.
Unfortunately, that was all the offence that Nipissing could muster, as they fired 26 shots towards the Blues net, with just the one ripple the twin.
Nipissing remains second, while Toronto will likely make a jump in the standings, depending on the other results.
Jackie Rochefort was beaten twice, but still managed to make 23 saves in the game.
The Lakers will now have a week off before returning to the ice Feb. 3 and 4, with two home games against Laurier and Waterloo.
