The Windsor Lancers power play continued to haunt the Nipissing Lakers as they scored both of their goals with the extra man in a tight 2-1 victory for the Lancers on Saturday afternoon.
Konnor Haas and Todd Ratchford scored power play markers less than two minutes apart in the first period.
That’s all the Lancers needed offensively.
Danny Desrochers scored the only goal for the Lakers at 7:07 of the third period.
Blake Richard was solid in goal for the Lancers as he turned away 37 Lakers shots.
Talor Joseph made 34 saves in the setback as the Lakers fall to 5-11-1 on the season.
Lakers Head Coach Mike McParland was frustrated with the loss along with a short bench.
"We deserved a better fate, we were very undermanned and held an edge in play," noted McParland.
"Their goalie made four or five outstanding saves plus we hit a post and cross bar along the way."
The Lakers fell 4-3 to the Lancers on Friday afternoon.
