Lakers cross country head coach Tim Uuksulainen and assistant coach Donna Mae Robins were recently invited by Athletics Canada to participate at the Guelph National Endurance Centre Camp to be held at the University of Guelph April 8-10th.

Uuksulainen was looking forward to the opportunity.

"Both Donna Mae and I are excited about being invited,” said head coach Uuksulainen. “The National team camp is an opportunity for us to join many of Canada's top international class endurance runners, coaches and medical teams to develop professionally.”

The focus of the camp will be on sports medicine, biomechanical analysis, fitness testing and will allow Uuksulainen and Mae an opportunity to meet and learn from the national coaches.

“Hopefully we can bring back some of the knowledge to assist runners locally.” said Uuksulainen.

Mae has been asked to attend camp as one of the identified up and comers with potential to progress to the National and International level.
