The Nipissing Lakers Men’s Basketball program raised $2,276.65 in their “Take the Charge” against Prostate Cancer campaign that concluded Saturday night with a cheque presentation to Susan Plamondon Fundraising Coordinator for the Canadian Cancer Society and Dr. Mike Leckie Special Guest and Prostate Cancer Survivor.
The initiative was developed by Larry Tougas, Head of Basketball Operations for the Lakers Basketball program.
Lakers Basketball operations, NUSU and the players raised the funds through online donations and a bean bag toss.
