The Lady Trojan junior girls basketball team opened their season up with a 47-27 victory over the Northern Braves in Sturgeon Falls Tuesday night.
The Lady Trojan junior girls basketball team opened their season up with a 47-27 victory over the Northern Braves in Sturgeon Falls Tuesday night.

The Trojans broke things open in third quarter going on an 11-2 run after a tight first half that ended with the Lady Trojans leading 22-18.

In the final frame the Trojans continued their 2nd half dominance outscoring the Braves 13-7.

Top scorers for the Lady Trojans were Abeba Kitchen and Aaron Paibomsai with 12 pts each, Taylor Matson and Mckenzie Joyes each chipped in 6 pts.

At the Braves end Breanna Willard knocked down 12 pts followed by Alysha Allaire with 6.

The Lady Trojans next see action on Thursday at 6 p.m. in their gym and will be in tough against the Chippewa Raiders.
