Lady Lords sweep Panthers (new)

Durham College Lady Lords completed their weekend sweep over the Canadore College Lady Panthers with a 10-0 win Saturday at Kelly Field.

Erin Smith was the winner on a two-hitter and five strikeouts.

Brittany Shannon took the loss, allowing 11 hits, walking four and striking out one.

The Lady Lords scored five runs in the second, three in the fourth and two more in the fifth.

Kristin Hurst had three hits including a double for the winners.

Lynsey Snowball and Megan Downey had the hits for the Lady Panthers, which are now 1-4.

They host the Conestoga Condors Saturday Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Kelly Field.
