The Sault Ste. Marie Festival of Stars proved to be an exciting event again this year with three of five North Bay skaters qualifying for the Skate Ontario Championships to be held in Sudbury March 18-20

North Bay proved it's talent for producing show skaters by being on the podium in all interpretive events.Taite King improved her standing heading into the all Ontario championship from second to first, while Alex Buchmann built on his past performances, to be ready for stiff competition that will travel province wide to Sudbury.

It was Danijela Jelich who stole the show on Saturday

Danijela headed into Festival of Stars behind the pack in 5th place needing to finish in the top 4 to qualify.

Danijela had the skate of her life landing new jumps in competition while entertaining the crowd with her Cinderella performance, proving that hard work and dedication pays off.
