North Bay's Nick Huard is making the most of his final Jr. 'A' season.

On Sunday the former North Bay Midget AAA Trappers forward set up the game winning goal in a 3-2 win for his Woodstock Slammers as they captured the Fred Page Cup title at the Eastern Canada Jr. A Championship held in Kanata last week.

Huard's squad beat out the Nepean Raiders in the final, a team which sported local product Jamie Olivier.

Huard has picked up his game in the playoffs as he was named to the tournament's all-star team after recording 9 goals and 6 assists in the Slammers Maritime Championship run.

Huard and his Slammers squad will be heading west this week where they will compete for a national title against the Central Canadian champion Soo Thunderbirds, Western hosts and champions Humboldt Broncos, Western runner-up Portage Terriers, and Pacific reps the Penticton Vee's.
