The North Bay Hockey Development Program, which is operated by longtime local hockey coach Guy Blanchard, is hoping to trying and add some hockey programming for players whose seasons were cancelled due to COVID-19.

Once the lockdown is lifted the North Bay Hockey Development Program (NBHDP) is looking to develop players to reach their highest potential in the game of hockey.

The primary focus of this program is to identify and assemble the top U11 and U10 aged players (born in 2010 and 2011) in the area to provide the opportunity for a higher level of hockey experience. The players selected will practice once per week with certified coaches. This would begin a process of providing individuals interested at developing with elite players with the same goals.

Pending the COVID-19 rules and announcements from the Ontario government, the NBDHP will be conducting an evaluation camp for players born in 2010 and 2011.

Two evaluation sessions will be scheduled to determine this group of 18 to 20 skaters and 3 goalies. Pre-registration for those interested in participating in this program, will be implemented on the NBHDP website soon.

Blanchard along with recruited coaches to compliment the staff collectively are looking to bring the best development possible for this age group in this region.
