Hall of Fame dinner April 17

The North Bay Sports Hall of Fame induction dinner and awards night will take place Saturday April 17 at the Best Western Conference Centre.

At that time, the 2003-2004 inductees will enter the hall as well as the presentation of the various community sport awards. Tickets for the event are $30 and are available from Bill Jacko, 476-1429, Dave Saad, 472-7041, or from the Best Western.

Inductees this year include Mike Mitchell, Darren Turcotte, Lionel Murphy and Viola Burke.

In addition, individual awards will be presented to the following:

West Ferris Ringette Belles, James Kelly Memorial Award,

Craig Rivet, Judge Harry J. Reynolds Memorial Award, hockey;

Jan Faucon, George Martyn Memorial Award, basketball;

Liz and Dave Cross, Al Knapp Memorial Award, fastball;

Megan Marcella, Tammy Dufresne, Jason Partridge, Britt Jessup Memorial Award,

local male and female athletes of the year; David Nighbor, Melissa Ladouceur

Outstanding Achievement Award, Brent Pigott;

Peter Palangio Award, sportsperson of the year; Eva Leslie

Peter Handley Friend of Sport Award Clarke Eady Mike Mitchell / Larry Avery Memorial Award, football.
