The Sault Ste. Marie Jr. Greyhounds finished off a record setting season by trouncing the North Bay Athletics in both clubs final games of the Northern Ontario Bantam AAA Hockey League regular season.
The Greyhounds hammered the Athletics 10-1 Saturday, then followed that up with a 7-0 shutout on Saturday night. Then on Sunday the Hounds turned it up a notch by winning their last game by 11 goals in a 13-2 victory over the North Bay AAA Bantam squad.
The Athletics ended the regular season losing their last six games, all against the Greyhounds, by a combined score of 56-6.
The Greyhounds ended the year breaking 17 league records including most wins, fewest losses, most goals, fewest goals against just to name a few.
The Athletics will return to action next weekend as they begin the playoffs against Timmins, the winner of that series goes on to play the Greyhounds.
