Good start for Bears

TORONTO – The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears defeated Toronto Crescent 4-1 in their first game of the Trinity College invitational hockey tournament here Friday. Tom Wagner had two goals with Paul Deluca and Jordy Cobb adding the others.
TORONTO – The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears defeated Toronto Crescent 4-1 in their first game of the Trinity College invitational hockey tournament here Friday.

Tom Wagner had two goals with Paul Deluca and Jordy Cobb adding the others. Jeff Desrosiers handled the goaltending duties.

“The guys really played well,” Bears head coach John Wilson commented.

The Bears, members of the Nipissing District Association Hockey League, meet Oshawa R. S. McLachlan, today at 10 a.m. and Toronto De La Salle at 8 p.m.

The semifinals are Sunday at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. followed by the championship final at 4 p.m.
