Goal scoring record continues to elude Kerr

North Bay's Kevin Kerr still remains a goal short of breaking the all time minor professional goal scoring record.
North Bay's Kevin Kerr still remains a goal short of breaking the all time minor professional goal scoring record.

Kerr, who missed a game last week due to a death in the family, returned to the Flint Generals on New Years Day, where he had an assist in a 4-2 win over Port Huron.

Then on Sunday night he recorded another assist in a 4-3 loss to Muskegon to remain at 663 goals in a minor pro hockey career that began in 1987.

Kerr scored his record tying goal on December 22nd, but has been held off the scoreboard since.

Kerr's next opportunity to break the record comes next Friday as the Generals host the Fort Wayne Komets. If you want to listen to the possible record breaking game, you can hear it on the Flint Generals website at www.flintgenerals.com.
