Fung qualifies for Jr. National Track and Field Championships

Alison Fung of the North Bay Legion Track Club recently competed in the Track North Twilight meet in Sudbury where she easily qualified for the Canadian Junior National track and field championships with a new outdoor personal best of 3.28m.
Alison Fung of the North Bay Legion Track Club recently competed in the Track North Twilight meet in Sudbury where she easily qualified for the Canadian Junior National track and field championships with a new outdoor personal best of 3.28m.

Fung, a graduate of Chippewa Secondary School currently holds the NDA and NOSSA junior girls pole vault records. She just completed her first year with the University of Guelph track and Field team where she finished 7th in the OUA with an indoor personal best of 3.42m.

She will be competing this weekend in the Athletics Ontario National Standards meet at York University for some extra practice before heading to Nationals in St. Therese Quebec July 12-14th.
